This is really my wife’s idea. She noticed how overly excited the kids were about opening gifts one Christmas and decided to sit them down and explain that Christmas is not really about them. She said one thing to them that really sparked the idea for this film: “When you go to someone’s birthday party, you don’t expect to get presents do you?”

I used to watch the show MTV Cribs and was learning about faith around the same time--this is the video that come from it. (Okay, I was tired of waiting for MTV to come film me and my place so I did it myself.)

After watching an awards show, I thought, hey . . . what about the extras?

I was doing an event in Oklahoma; I saw a childcare area and the people were kind enough to let us film me interviewing their kids. This was completely spontaneous.
